esp social studies because it is a mad rush.
can tell that all the geographers were writing like mad and like some historians were quite slack.

tmr is labour day
but unfortunately i have loads of revision and hmwk to do
so it will be EXTRA-LABOUR day for me.

lalalas.
woke up at 6am this morning and went to tampines mac for breakfast
with see hwee adeline yixi jojo wai hing and vannesa.
went to the mrt station at 8 to collect our tins.
so after collecting our tins and signing for it
we split up to get donations.
see hwee adeline and i went to bugis area to ask for donations.
hi would you like to donate?
its for the sree narayana mission home.
thank you.
this was basically the few lines i kept repeating today.
so we hung around the kwan yin temple and managed to get quite alot of donations.
i was really lucky.
an indian man dropped in
$50 dollars
into my tin!!!!!!!!
i was really surprised that he would donate so much.
actually the two women he was with did not want to donate when i approached them
but the man asked me what organisation it was for and the benefits.

Food Relief
The Home’s Food Relief Programme has been going on for the last 40 years.Monthly rations of essential food items are given to the destitute aged who is on public assistance. The programme also assists deserving individuals and families.
Scholarships and Bursaries
For students with financial problems,given on an annual basis. Applicants come from all sections of the community.About $10, 000 is awarded to students from primary and secondary schools,and institutions of higher learning.
Home Help Service
Volunteers visit the homes of the elderly in the neighbourhood, to assist in household chores, like cleaning, repair and maintenance.
Free Legal Counselling
With the help of Volunteer Lawyers, free legal counseling has been set up to aid the families out of legal conflicts.Operating on every last Tuesdays of the month, this service aims to guide people with the process and knowledge of legal protocols and the methods of seeking legal help.
Family Counseling
This service is for families facing with marital problems. Operating on every last Tuesdays of the month is handled by qualified counselors.
Day Care Centre
The Day Care is the latest addition of SNMH. Located in the Homes building, this service aims to provide rehabilitative care for the elderly to enable to restore and improve their physical health. Elderly, who may have suffered from stroke, had a fall or other incapacitating ailments of old age will find the Day Care a useful option to rehabilitate themselves and also continue to live with their loved ones. Social support and Mental stimulation are included as part of activities of the Day Care.
Meranti Home
Sree Narayana Mission manages Meranti Home @ Pelangi Village. This is one of the six units at the Social Welfare complex under the Ministry of Community Development and Sports. This Home can accommodate 200 mentally burnt-out male patients.

i was holding hui zhen's tin because she was helping me to strap the cap on to my bag
and wilson just sort of came over and
put some coins into the tin i was holding
which was hui zhen's
and the girls had a good laugh over it.
later he kena sabo-ed by the girls saying why he never give them
so yea.
he ended up giving all the girls some coins.
smart aleck.

super hilarious actually.
but still.
we saw the ugly and good side of singaporeans today
which reminded me of the oral topic of facing the reality world when we grow up.
so yea.
it gave me an insight and something to think about over this weekend.
hopefully you guys will have your own thoughts too.
although many people may feel flag day is a chore and totally not fun
but this is my second time and i kinda like it.
of course you will meet a lot of different kind of people
so it is always good to maintain a postive attitude.

well well well...
monday was english oral.
got mdm kamisah.
i got her when i was sec one too.
HAHA.
so the conversation of the oral
was like this.
what are the disadvantages of youths like yourself playing on the streets?
what are the ADVANTAGES of playing on the streets?
why do some people feel left out?
yea.
quite tough i thought.
ended up got 32.
YAYS!!
but i think my chinese oral sure die lars.
i said wrong points.

oh crap..
had literature test,maths test and ss test in one day.
quite hectic.
then had 5 stations yesterday.
with mr neo totally screaming in our ears.
haha.
so managed to finish 5 stations.
shuttle run was okae.
pull-ups too.
crappiest was sit and reach and standing broad jump.
argh.
sit ups was average i guess.
so next week running 2.4 i guess.
8 rounds arnd the sch.
haha.
today had chinese listening exam
and a little bit of maths after that.
eng lesson was carefree for the first time.
i just completed two spontaneous writing topics and started reading.

cos there is air con!!
so english lesson was quite a breeze today.
then realised that ms lim dint come today
so chem test was postponed to monday.
tmr have CIP.

i got my certificate for my piano exam today!!!
i got a DISTINCTION for my grade 6 piano exam.
super happy cos i thought i played like crap.

and the speech day is finally over.so sad because its the last performance for the sec 4s. but happy because its finally over and there will not be any more rehearsals!!! YAYS!! had to get up freaking early on saturday. like normal school day. woke up at 6.30am. lalalas. speech day ended around 1 plus i guess. there was balloons on the table and the cleaner encouraged us to take the balloons. so i took the pink and silver balloons. and i let it fly away outside school.dint know someone was looking as i let go of the balloons.HAHA. had an impromptu english oral exam today. as usual in the hall.and i got mdm kamisah again. got her for sec1 also. AHHHS!!!! MYE coming soon. die lars. die lars. CIP this saturday but mabye going for iceskating after the CIP thingy or when ade finish her service?haha. next friday is eng and mt paper 1!!!! ohhs and tmr or friday will be the last cca day. so endorsement may be on friday. SO SAD!!!! will definitely miss all my juniors to bits. you guys better do well for SYF okae. if not you guys are sooooo DEAD. haha. threatening. crap. dnt have to hand up my 8 ideas which i have not even started on one yet by next monday for CA2 results. grrs.. at least my artefact is getting started. HAHA. till then

the ANGLICAN HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR CONCERT
was simply amazing.
love one of their song chu-ay is it?
like a rain chant. really good the way beats of their hands are used to create the sound of the rain.
any anglicans reading this JOB WELL DONE!!
i liked the repertoire of songs.
the second part was a re-enactment of high school musical.
quite hilarious.
debbie was one of the smaller solos?
jenna was sharpay. she was really good. acted out the parts really well.
gabriella was not bad but the band drowned her out in her solo.
troy was okae. debbie said that most of them lost their voice so it might be due to that. that the voice of troy was not exactly to my expectations? maybe i expect too much?
haha.
but it was great. had a really fun time.
tmr have PE and im running i guess. YAYS!!
finally fit to run and get this 2.4 thingy done and over with.
friday is speech day rehearsal.
saturday is speech day!
oh gosh. im so gonna miss choir.
saturday i better take many photos with all the seniors that came back!
