sunday
well yesterday was the CCA open house.
really enjoyed it but equally tired as well.
the choir did not get to perform in the hall as we usually did
because we had to draw lots and since choir performed in the hall last year
we did not perform in the hall this year.
CIO and angklung performed in the hall.
must say this year was quite rush.
we rushed to finish the posters and ms zaidah had to photocopy the fliers.
we did it on coloured paper!!
because we had a lot of extra paper from the posters material.
so while waiting for the parents to come down had to change into costume
which was extremely uncomfortable
when you are hot
and had to do warm-ups.
we had a little obstacle.
because we couldnt find a spot that has electricity for the keyboard
and without the keyboard attracting people to us
it is really useless.
so ms cheong( new music teacher)
was asking us what other songs we know.
then since the sec 2s only know
JANGER,SOMEWHERE OUT THERE & RHYTHMN OF LIFE.
we ended up singing janger as well.
haha.
funny thing was ms cheong was saying that we had to sing without conductor for janger because she does'nt know the piece.
then we were all a mess.
how were we to start??
then guess what??
i conducted the choir for janger
YAY-NESS!!!
haha. at first i couldnt hear a thing.
then i had to tell them to get serious and stuff
but things turned out pretty well.
must say that janger was pretty well done.
later jordan conducted for rhythmn of life.
did a good job too.
then ms cheong conducted for somewhere out there.
i was having a sore throat after the performing
and getting the choir together is not an easy task.
so we had to walk around giving out flyers and
i was at the booth answering qns if parents had any.
hope we get more boys this year
because it will be better for our SYF next year.
and ms cheong said she may be changing the choir costume
to dark blue and the top is velvet.
so the cost may well be around $100 plus.
and she also said that she is planning a tour and the sec4 and 5s should go
she intends to bring us to europe??
at the end of the year
and each person may cost about $3000 and we still have to buy winter clothes since it will be in the winter season.
i was like cool!!!
but the price is extremely cool as well.
crap.
shall wait until end of the year then see.
its too early to tell.
i am going to have to step down this year after speech day in april.
really relunctant to
and i guess i will definitely cry and miss everyone and choir as well.
so i shall enjoy the rest of my time with the choir
be it good or bad because every practice is precious.
TO ALL CRESTVOICES ORCREST CHORALE(as ms cheong calls it)
YOU GUYS HAVE DONE WELL ON CCA OPEN HOIUSE.
YOU REALLY DID YOUR BEST AND I FOR ONE AM VERY PROUD
TO BE PART OF THIS CHOIR.
but dun get too arrogant because ultimately our goal is in SYF next year.
so work hard guys!!
